**YOU MUST LOG IN TO CANVAS EACH ASSIGNMENT DAY FOR ATTENDANCE PURPOSES. LC WILL USE THIS TO KEEP ATTENDANCE RECORDS TO MEET REGULATIONS

Due to the fact that not all students have access to the Dreamweaver Software at home, we are going to go a different route for Web Design. Students will still need to read each project in the Against the Clock textbook and complete the review questions when assigned.

We will use Google Sites for our next assignment. You can access by logging into google and choosing the dots menu in upper right corner. You can click sites and you will build a Portfolio site. Each assignment day you will be required to complete a specific page of your portfolio. You can also use the LINK (Links to an external site.) to get help with building google sites.

SITE STEPS

We will continue with our google site we created. Today we will create the content for the second page of our site.

  • Banner and Navigation – This should remain the same for all pages of the site.
  • Section #2 – Underneath the Banner, Add section(s) for 3 Quotes that mean something to you. You must add the text for the Quote, and Image for the Quote, and a link to the quote as a reference. You are to design this area with the best of your abilities using the section options as part of google sites.
  • Section #3 – Family Time – Include a picture of you and your family. Write a brief story or paragraph about the best family time you shared. It could be during this time or it can be a family vacation that you will always remember. Be descriptive and enjoy the memory.
  • Section #4 – Add a selfie and tell me something that is Unique about you. Something that you remember from growing up that sticks in your mind. I have many stories I would tell about my stupidity from growing up. One thing I will never forget is that I broke two bones growing up. Both time, I broke them punching my brother. it can be positive or negative. BE HONEST, and be APPROPRIATE.

Once you have the page complete you can complete settings to publish and share with my email address. You can make it public or just share with me. We will continue to build on the site each day. I will grade based on all information included and a little on quality of design. One thing about web design is the number of options for building a site.
